Digital Illustration • Layout

Project Goals: Design an events calendar for Sport Manitoba. The solution should have: a pleasing colour scheme, clear hierarchy and reflect the positive ideals of sport.

Process

Concept

The path featured in the illustrations is shaped in the way that the ball would normally travel in each sport. For example the basketball path is moving up and down as though bouncing.

Illustrations

  • Features a pleasing analogous colour scheme.
  • Vibrant clean colours are energetic which reflects sport.
  • Strong use of line to create movement, also reinforces the theme of sport.

    • Hierarchy

  • The information is grouped and organized.
  • Information is further broken down with clear subheadings, and important information like dates and times are distinct and easy to find.
